- →Why we do it for free
You sit down with us and we go through what to bring, where to sell it first, and what it costs. It is free, and there is nothing to download. The conversation is the thing — the Market Entry Brief is the preparation we do beforehand so the conversation is worth your time. You leave knowing what Singapore would take, whether you work with us or not.
- Free, always. There is no tier, no deposit and no qualifying revenue.
- Nothing is emailed and nothing is downloaded. It is a conversation, not a document.
- We tell you what we would do in your position — including hold off, when that is the answer.
- In person where we can arrange it, by video call when distance leaves no other option.
- You choose afterwards: enter with us, enter on your own, or wait.
What it is, and what it is not
It is a conversation about your brand's Singapore opportunity, prepared for in advance. We look at what you sell, read it against the channels and the rules, and come with a plain-language view rather than a template.
It is not a report you receive. There is no PDF, no slide deck and no download, and that is deliberate rather than a limitation. A document gets skimmed once; a conversation lets you ask the second question, which is usually the one that matters.
It is also not a market-sizing exercise. Most guides to entering Singapore open with GDP, tourist spend and e-commerce growth, and none of that tells you whether your brand should bother. What actually decides it is sales history — a brand that has sold at a Singapore pop-up before can point to real numbers and move quickly; a brand that has not is answering a different question first.
What we go through
Three things, in this order.
| What happens | |
|---|---|
| The conversation | A plain-language read on your Singapore opportunity: the pop-ups and channels that suit you, what selling here costs and takes, and where your product sits under Singapore's rules |
| Our recommendation | What we would do in your position — enter now, start small, or hold off — and why, specific to your brand |
| You choose | Enter with us, enter on your own, or wait. Whichever you pick, it is your call |
"Hold off" is a real answer and we give it. A brand that is not ready, or a product that would need reformulating to be legal here, is better told that in an hour than after a shipment. We only take on brands we can actually help, and that judgement runs in both directions.
What we need from you
Enough to make the hour useful, and no more. What you sell, what it costs you to make, roughly where you are — selling at home, already exporting, or still working it out — and what you are hoping Singapore does for the brand.
For beauty, the ingredient list matters, because the first question is whether the product is legal here at all and that is answerable in minutes. You can run that yourself before we speak: check your product.
There is a short form on the Brief page that front-loads those facts so we do not spend the first four messages collecting them. It does not gate anything — no answer disqualifies anyone, and "not sure yet" is one of the options.
What happens afterwards
Nothing, unless you want it to. There is no follow-up sequence and no drip.
If you decide to enter with us, we pick up from what the conversation established — which channel, what to bring, what has to be true before anything ships. If you decide to do it yourself, you have the same information and we are not precious about it; the guides on this site are the same material written down. If you decide to wait, that is frequently the right call and we would rather you waited well than entered badly.
Why we do it for free
Because the alternative is guessing, on both sides. We cannot tell whether we can help a brand without understanding what it sells and what it costs to make, and no brand should be asked to commit before hearing a straight read on whether Singapore is worth it for them.
It is also honest about our position: we are a go-to-market partner, and a partner who charges for the conversation that establishes whether there is anything worth partnering on has the incentives pointing the wrong way.
FAQ
Is it really free? Yes, always. No tier, no deposit, no minimum revenue, no eligibility bar.
Do I have to be in Singapore? No. In person where we can arrange it — that is better, and fabric and formulation are easier in the room — and by video call when distance leaves no other option.
Will you tell me not to do it? If that is what we think, yes. Enter now, start small, or hold off are all live answers, and the last one is the most useful when it is true.
What if I already know my channel? Then the conversation is shorter and goes deeper on execution — what to bring, what it costs, and what has to be true before you ship.
Do you work with fashion and beauty both? Yes. They diverge sharply on the rules — beauty has a hard product gate, fashion has none — so the conversations look quite different past the first twenty minutes. See what actually happens when you sell into Singapore.
What if I want to do it myself afterwards? Then do it yourself. That is one of the three outcomes and it is a legitimate one. Doing it yourself or working with a partner is the honest version of that decision.
